Francesca holds a PhD in Law and Economics at Bologna and Rotterdam universities, and specialised in environmental liability and damages at the international and EU level. She is also a qualified lawyer, an external expert for Eklipse on mitigation hierarchy and biodiversity, and a member of the Legal Working Group within the Society of Ecological Restoration.
