Ali Al Hajj Sleiman

He has got more than 20 years of experience in elections, governance, democracy and peace building with the United Nations (Iraq, Yemen, Mauritania, Sudan, Afghanistan, & Somalia), the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (Egypt & Libya), the Carter Center (Tunisia), the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (Lebanon) and the United States Institute of Peace (Iraq). His expertise covers electoral systems, capacity building, conflict resolution, negotiations, civil society organizations and political parties, with extensive working experience in local governance and municipalities. Ali has worked on designing and developing capacity building training for elections administration and observation, advocacy and networking, human rights instruments and human rights education, non-violent strategies and peace building and holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the Lebanese University with focus on international affairs and political development. |
